Calle Ocho 2008 Latin Festival Coming To Miami
Miami’s annual Latin carnival, Calle Ocho, is one of the world’s largest street parties ever. On Sunday, March 16, 2008, Calle Ocho stretches over 25 blocks of Little Havana in Miami and features Latin music, dancing and entertainers from all over the world. Over forty stages at intersecting streets play everything from salsa, merengue, to pop and Caribbean music to more than a million and a half people yearly.
You’ll see a huge amount vendors selling food and drinks from all over the world, with even a small children’s festival from 4th Avenue to 8th Avenue, with stilt walkers, face painters, fun food, magicians and rides.
In 1998 Calle Ocho broke the world record for the world’s longest conga line with more than 120,000 people.
